Feryal sherif

I am Dr. Feryal Sherif, PhD, a researcher at the National Research Centre (NRC) with a multidisciplinary .academic and research background in cancer research, molecular biology, regenerative medicine, and bioinformatics .
My area of expertise focuses on cancer research, particularly the use of advanced molecular technologies, liquid biopsy approaches, and computational biology tools to investigate tumor biology and cancer-associated molecular alterations. I have significant experience in breast and ovarian cancer research projects, with a strong emphasis on liquid biopsy applications, including the analysis of circulating tumor-derived biomarkers, molecular profiling, biomarker discovery, tumor heterogeneity assessment, and precision oncology research. My work supports the development of minimally invasive strategies for cancer detection, monitoring, and translational clinical applications.
.y technical experience includes next-generation sequencing (NGS), laser capture microdissection, nucleic acid extraction and quality assessment, molecular diagnostics, gene expression analysis, real-time PCR/qPCR, and other high-throughput molecular technologies. I am particularly interested in bridging experimental cancer biology with computational interpretation to generate reliable, translationally meaningful insights.
In addition to my research activities, I have academic teaching experience in biotechnology and bioinformatics within the Biotechnology Program at Cairo University, where I contribute to training students in modern molecular life sciences, biotechnology applications, and computational biology.
I am actively involved as a Principal Investigator (PI) in ongoing research projects funded by the National Research Centre (NRC) and the Science, Technology & Innovation Funding Authority (STDF). Through my academic, teaching, and research activities, I aim to contribute to the advancement of cancer research, liquid biopsy technologies, molecular medicine, and precision oncology.
